The Role
The Senior Transport Engineer will support the Bank’s vision for transport infrastructure and services while contributing to Ghana’s transport sector development. The role includes project preparation, supervision, policy advising, resource mobilization, and donor coordination.
Responsibilities
- Develop transport infrastructure policies and strategies.
- Support Ghana’s transport projects, including feasibility studies, design, and execution.
- Advise the government on institutional and policy reforms.
- Monitor and manage project implementation, ensuring compliance with Bank guidelines.
- Engage in donor coordination and sector dialogue for harmonization and co-financing.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in transport infrastructure, project management, and policy development.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of transport sector policies and regulations.
- Proficiency in French (mandatory); English knowledge is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project cycle management and Bank-standard software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
